A Challenge for Charity!

News

April 24, 2014

In May 2012, one of my daughter’s closest friends – Adam Green – died of Cancer after 4-year battle.  He was 14 years old.  The dignity and bravery that Adam showed throughout still inspires me.

In Adam’s honour I support the Teenage Cancer Trust and raise funds to support their work every year.  This year I will be cycling the Carten100 on 10th May – the anniversary of Adam’s passing away.

The Carten100 is a 100mile ride from Cardiff to Tenby in Wales, completed in one day.  I have done it twice before with last year’s ride being particularly challenging.  We had a heading and driving rain for most of the day and had to face a route that took us off the main roads and into the hills on rough county lanes.  I really hope the conditions are better   this year!
